Obituary for Monica Williams

Monica Williams was born on November 20, 1963 to Eddie L. Williams and Ann M. Williams in Mobile, AL. She departed peacefully in her sleep on September 28, 2022 at home in Atlanta, Ga.
Monica was raised in Atlanta, GA where she attended Catholic School. At the age of 11, Monica learned
to play the Clarinet. At the age of 13, Monica attended Alex Hayley Dance Studio where she studied Jazz
and Ballet for several years. During that time Monica was a member of a traveling dance team that toured
throughout the State of Georgia. In high school, Monica was Captain of the Jr. Varsity and Varsity
Cheerleader Team and in the 12th grade she was crowned Ms. St. Luke. At the age of 18, Monica gave
birth to her only child, Keisha Monique Searcy Williams.
Monica attended Atlanta Jr. College where she studied to become a Dental Hygienist. Monica worked for
the News Group over 25 years until 2020 when she left due to health reasons.
Monica was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Janae C.A. Balthazar ( Ladybug), her mother Ann
M. Williams and Fiance Ernest Searcy.
Monica is survived by her daughter, Keisha (Brandon) Huff of Atlanta, GA. Her father, Eddie L. Williams of
Atlanta, GA; brothers, Jerome Williams of Atlanta, GA and Larry (Carla) Davis of Mobile, AL; sisters Gloria
Davis of Mobile, AL and Tynisha Williams (George) Dandles of ATL,GA / Mobile, AL; nephews, Johnathan
Thompson of Atlanta, GA, Chris Davis of Mobile, AL, and Branden J. Dandles of Atlanta, GA. Monica also
leaves a host of family and friends.

Monica will always be loved and will never be forgotten.
