Obituary for William Roy Edwards Jr.

William Roy Edwards Jr. was born February 7, 1954 to Mr. William and Mrs. Endia Mae Edwards in
Macon, Georgia.
William attended elementary school in Macon, Georgia and graduated from East Atlanta High School in
Atlanta, GA class of 1972 where he was an “A” student. William was a sharp dresser and loved his
cowboy boots and hats. He loved to grill and barbeque for his family and friends and believed in feeding
everyone. You could not sit around William and be hungry, he had the heart to make sure that you
would eat. His hospitality will surely be missed.
He worked several jobs over the years. He was employed as a Mechanical Engineer for Marta in the city
of Atlanta.
He was preceded in death by one son Britton Jermaine (BJ) Edwards, his father Mr. William Edwards Sr.,
his grandmother Mrs. Florence McHelen, his grandfather Mr. Charlie West Edwards whom he said
“really spoiled me as a child”. He was also preceded in death by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 40 years Mrs. Anne Pitts Edwards, his beloved
mother Mrs. Endia Roper, sons Mr. William Jarrod Edwards (wife Keisher), Mr. Terrell Jemarcus (TJ)
Edwards, Mr. Chaz Deon Edwards (wife Benita), Mr. Rashone Jermal Edwards (wife Kianna), his grandson
that was like a son to him Keyshone Cortez Edwards; brothers Mr. Richard Edwards (wife Joann), Mr.
Charles Edwards (wife Louise), Mr. Rudy McCoy Edwards; sisters Ms. Virginia Edwards Lemons and Ms.
Latanya Edwards Head; aunts Mrs. Virginia Edwards Martin, Mrs. Charlotte Edwards; uncle Mr. Willie
Easley (wife Nora) of Macon, GA.; two special daughters that he helped raise, Mrs. Dionne Adeyemo and
Mrs. Danielle Nicole Stevens (husband Micheal), his favorite niece Tennille Edwards, a special niece
Andrea (Gidget) Lee and her daughters, a special cousin Mr. Ronnie Edwards (wife Regina). A host of
precious nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the East Atlanta neighborhood. Four special friends,
Malcom Franklin, Richard Starr, Fred Williams and Milton Williams.
